They raised their property 22 inches, which acts like a dam, blocking rainwater from the rest of the block from reaching the storm sewer through the swale in the back of their property (which they also filled in). This flooding to my property was the result of a medium rainfall. Their rainwater also spills onto my property, and still does so today. The Town of Davie has not remedied this situation. It is now 2003. THIS DEVALUED MY PROPERTY.
This flooding causes islands of ants from the rest of the block to float on the surface of the water, and be deposited on my property. Our family is thus deprived of the full, lawful use of our property, because the Town Of Davie refused to act on my lawful, legitimate, complaints.
Their Fence was raised to over 7 feet above grade, in violation of Town Code. After Bagwell/Gregory moved in, they started right up and turned me in to Code enforcement for having a fence too high. My fence was "Grandfathered" in. I was found guilty, and had to pay an attorney $1000.00 to get a re-hearing. I filed a PERJURY Report with Davie PD, because the Code Enforcement Officer lied under oath. They have done nothing.
Their property was then raised to the height of over 4 rolls of toilet paper stacked on top of each other (about 22 inches). By Code, you can only raise your property 1 foot for every four feet from a property line. This goes straight up.You can still see additional fill on their other side above that. Davie Code Enforcement did NOTHING! This DEVALUED MY PROPERTY.
They added a second driveway. By Davie Town Code, there is suppose to be a 5 foot setback from adjacent property lines. I own to the center of the street. This has been verified by Town of Davie Code Enforcement and the Town Attorney.
